- Why You Should Follow: This week, Lady Gaga became the first person to reach the 10 million fan mark on Facebook, beating out President Barack Obama. She's got him topped on Twitter as well, with 4,826,852 followers (compared to his measly 4,496,041). Her tweets offer the tiniest of glimpses into her world of glitter and vinyl nun costumes. She writes about flipping off photographers at a Mets game ("I guess I'm just a Bronx cheer kind of girl"), performing at Elton John's AIDS benefit ("Eltonball! Dead bodies in trees, wheelchairs and tiaras. You sure know the way to a girls heart"), killing time in between U.K. shows ("In a Pub in England, ruining bar napkins with lyrics and memories. Dreams are never weak like we are, drunk or sober"), and practicing her outrageous dance numbers ("Rehearsal till we bleed. Sweat, passion, + knee pads"). Above all else, she uses her Twitter page to communicate with those who are most important to her -- her fans, or "little Monsters." It's been a miracle having Camera Obscura showing in Indonesia, and they held 2 concerts at 2 cities! As previously disappointed by early buzz, that Camera Obscura will be playing at Indie Fest, actually, concert in Jogja is standalone concert with 2 local bands (Shaggy Dog and The S.I.G.I.T). Obviously, this is a great entertainment after i found that KoC and Jens Lekman concert that planned to be held a week after Camera Obscura show at Jakarta & Bandung, being tortured by faggots ticket broker who bought the tickets at normal price and sell it with double or even more price! That's huge sin! And i feel blessed to had my chance on watching Camera Obscura live! Yeayyy!
Posters around Jogja streets, state that the concert begin at 19.00 and I've been in venue at 18.00 with some friends from Surabaya. And we are lucky enough to got a chance of seeing Camera Obscura on sound check! But the output from the sound check was miserable. Because, the sounds came out from the stage in those indoor venue is awfully bad. I don't know its the building acoustic or the soundman or maybe both. The sound produced from the soundsystem is very bad, bouncing and noisy, very unclear as you hear concert from bad record-tape or from bad radio frequency. Tracyanne herself look disappointed at sound check. Yeah, I am so worried about the sound quality gonna be produced at the show, and my worried did happen.
